Nice selection of reptiles and all but I have to say, none of that matters if none of them are being cared for properly. I hope they hire people that care alot more about making sure their water is filled and terrariums are cleaned. The past few times I've come here, I saw nothing but filth and not to mention a couple dead reptiles that look like they've been there a few days. Hire some more reliable people.
Let me start off by saying that this shop has a great selection and I do prefer little shops like this to chains. Unfortunately 2 out of the 3 times I've been here the employees haven't been very nice or professional. Normally I wouldn't say anything but when I visited today the young guy ringing me up ignored me and held a conversation with another person and didn't say another word to me, just handed me my receipt, he didn't even bag my purchase, I had to carry everything out and they didn't thank me or wish me a good day. I prefer to shop at little places like this but not if I'm supporting that kind of service. Very unfortunate.
Very good animal care and super cool employees always willing to help and will look for specific to get in store when possible. They are very knowledgeable and willing to spend time with you even if you don't make a purchase. They have great prices and a much better variety then anywhere I've been for both pets and feeders.
This is a cool reptile shop with nice, unusual pets: crested geckos, many other gecko varieties, colorful bearded dragons, turtles, snakes, uromastics, tree frogs, poison arrow frogs, as well as many other creatures. They also sell feeder bugs and rodents of all kinds, tanks, terrariums, substrate, etc. We like going in and looking at the unique pets. We bought a crested gecko from them, and he's doing great.
Best reptile shop in San Antonio by far! There's a numerous amount of time and effort put into the care and cleanliness of the animals as well as the shop! The staff are a very hard working and knowledgeable group of people that have a real passion for what they do! There is no place better than Reptile Pets Direct!
