First, the original hertz I placed my reservation through refused to pick up/drop me off because there was another location 1 mile closer.

If anyone has had a similar experience with Hertz, please let me know. They could be in violation of the Deceptive Trades Practices Act and The Used Car Rule.

These people are rude and disrespectful at this location. Don't bother calling here because they will cut you off, not let you speak and even hang up in your face while you're trying to get information or ask a question. Serious changes need to be made starting with the employees at this location.

Oh did I mention I was picked up, FINALLY, 1.5 hours after the scheduled time? I'll count that as the 8th failure/problem.

What a nightmare!

Rented a car for a trip, had nothing but great experiences. Shannon was completely helpful and kind about the whole thing, and the car was exactly what I needed! Ill definitely rent through them again.

Second, the customer service rep deleted my original reservation for one at the 1mile closer location but failed to tell me I'd be forced to pay for another day because THIS location does not accept returns on holidays. It was too late to get my previous rate at the other location so I was screwed. Third, the 1mile closer location doesn't answer their phone despite me calling multiple times on multiple days so I had to call their customer service line AGAIN! Fourth, customer service weren't able to do anything except tell me they couldn't reach the location and supposedly send an email to the manager requesting my pick up with all of my personal info.

Best experience ever! Customer service from Lashanta was phenomenal! I have been a faithful dollar rental car member for 15yrs and needless to say after trying Hertz for the 1st time, I'm never going anywhere else ever again. We were in and out with no drama on departure and return. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The car was clean and amazing! Good job Hertz!

On April 22, 2017 I purchased a 2015 Toyota Yaris L from the Hertz located at 12528 North Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Live Oak, TX. One of the reasons I chose to purchase this particular vehicle is because of the high quality name brand, low mileage and it came with a keyless entry device. Well, at least that is what was listed on the website. But what I found out via the salesman, Chris Quintana, is that the car does not come with a key fob. I stated that the key fob was on the website and he then said that he believed me but the car was not sent to them with a key fob. He then told me to call “them” and ask. Well, I called “them” and I ended up speaking to a Toyota salesman and serviceperson. They both said that the Yaris L did not come with a key fob. BUT WAIT!!! On the Monroney Sticker it had that I was supposed to have cruise control too. The Toyota Yaris L vehicles do not come with cruise control either. This was verified by the same Toyota salesperson and serviceperson from two different dealerships.

Failure in multiple facets

I am not saying to never buy from this particular Hertz but I will say be careful. Check over everything with a fine toothed comb. If the car does not match with the listed items on the website or the Monroney Sticker, then walk away from that particular sale and choose another vehicle.

Sixth, the rep on the phone, once I finally got someone, from 1mile closer location wouldn't listen to what I had to say, argued with me, spoke over me, kept giving excuses to the point where I had to repeat "stop talking give, me your manager" non-stop for a good 20seconds for the kid to get the hint. Luckily I recorded the convo!
